Since its founding in 1994, student success remains a top priority at CSU Monterey Bay. The university provides a multitude of resources to support students in achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals.

The university raised more than $100 million since the inception of the Vision 2020 campaign.

The CSU Chancellor’s Office has awarded $15,000 to 51±¬ÁÏÍø’s library and Center for Academic Technologies to reestablish the program at the university.

51±¬ÁÏÍø student Theresa Dexter spent her summer working to support the needs of former foster youth who are currently studying at 51±¬ÁÏÍø and are now members of the Guardian Scholar's Program. Her hard work paid off today, August 25th, when she handed out her "Mending the Needs" bags during the Guardian Scholar Orientation Meet & Greet at 51±¬ÁÏÍø.

Every year 51±¬ÁÏÍø honors outstanding graduating students with six university-wide awards. This is one in a series of stories about this year’s winners, as well as other extraordinary graduates in the Class of 2021.

CSU Monterey Bay’s Athletics Department has relaunched the Otter Athletics Fund, its official annual fundraising program to support the academic and athletic success of current and future 51±¬ÁÏÍø student-athletes. All gifts to the fund directly impact current student-athletes through scholarships and sport-specific program enhancements such as travel, equipment, training and technology.

The Santa Cruz-based GetVirtual project launched in the summer of 2020 to fortify small businesses from the economic toll of the pandemic shutdown. It has worked by partnering with colleges and universities like 51±¬ÁÏÍø.
